Information About The Friends of Prestonfield
|We are a group of parents/carers, teachers and local community representatives of Prestonfield Primary School who meet to discuss how to improve and support the education and welfare of the children of the School and to contribute positively to our local community.
We have five meetings a year in the School which you are very welcome to join. Our meetings are informal and focus on a topic of interest. We also have an update from the Headteacher, Mr Horsburgh and time to discuss items that are brought up by parents/carers. Please note that it is not appropriate to raise any issues regarding individual children at these meetings, these should be raised with the Class Teacher or Mr Horsburgh directly.
You don’t need to attend every meeting but the more you can come to and contribute, the better. There are also plenty of other things to get involved in, helping out at the School, fundraising, attending our School Fairs or just buying a raffle ticket at the Christmas Raffle Draw.
Come to our meetings and meet our Headteacher, Mr Horsburgh and other parents/carers to discuss ways to improve and support the school and our local community. All welcome.
Find out more by email on email@example.com
The action points and notes of the meetings are displayed on the School notice boards and on the School Website. If you’d like to raise a general issue but can’t make the meetings, please either talk to another parent who is going to attend the meeting, speak to one of the members of the group or contact Mrs Keppie, Chair on firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a very effective Fundraising Committee which ran a great Christmas Raffle last year and a wonderful Summer Fair this year. With the money raised we have been able to contribute significantly towards the costs of building an outdoor classroom and raised pond in our beautiful Centre Garden. The Committee is always looking for extra help and ideas for fundraising. Please get in touch with email@example.com and your details will be forwarded to the Committee.
We look forward to working with you to help make Prestonfield Primary School the very best it can be. Thank you.
