School Lunches

You will soon be able to pay online costs such as dinner money and school trips for our schools, nurseries and early years centres.

ParentPay is a secure website that lets you use your credit or debit card to pay your school. It will be our preferred method of receiving school and early years payments.

Your Head Teacher will let you know when and how you can use ParentPay. By the end of academic  year all parents and carers will be able to use ParentPay.  Please click on the link below for further information.  We will of course keep you updated with any further information

We all know that children and young people need the right balance of food and nutrients to grow and develop. Research shows that many of our children and young people in Scotland are not eating enough fruit or vegetables and are eating too much food which is high in fat, sugar and salt.

Our school lunch menus contain less fat, sugar and salt and are now better balanced, healthier and more nutritious.

Our School lunches cost £1.95 a day and are cooked at Parsons Green Primary School in line with the requirements under The Schools (Health Promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act 2007 and the Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drink in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2008.

Payment for School lunches must be made on a Tuesday only for the lunches required for the following week. Please make sure that the correct money is sent to school in a sealed envelope clearly marked with your child’s name together with the pre-order slip. We are happy to accept payment by cheque which should be made out to ‘City of Edinburgh Council’. Alternatively, meals can be paid for on a termly basis, please contact the School Office for details.
School lunches are eaten in the dining hall and packed lunches are eaten in the dining hall or outside in our Centre Garden during the summer months.

If you think you may be entitled to free meals and school wear for your child, please call at the School Office to fill in the necessary forms or click on the Free School Meals link below for more information.
