We all know that children and young people need the right balance of food and nutrients to grow and develop. Research shows that many of our children and young people in Scotland are not eating enough fruit or vegetables and are eating too much food which is high in fat, sugar and salt.
Our school lunch menus contain less fat, sugar and salt and are now better balanced, healthier and more nutritious.
Our School lunches cost £2.15 a day and are cooked at Parsons Green Primary School in line with the requirements under The Schools (Health Promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act 2007 and the Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drink in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2008.
School lunches are eaten in the dining hall and packed lunches are eaten in the dining hall or outside in our Centre Garden during the summer months.
If you think you may be entitled to free meals and school wear for your child, please call at the School Office to fill in the necessary forms or click on the Free School Meals link below for more information.
